Meet Your Guide
Hello! I’m Mark Bucha, and I am a Certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT).
As an avid hiker, kayaker, and animal and nature lover, I felt called to be a forest therapy guide after noticing a positive change in my overall health and wellbeing with each experience in the wild.
This profound effect led me to further explore the healing power of nature. That is when I discovered “Shinrin-Yoku”, “forest bathing” or “forest therapy.” After participating and completing my first forest therapy guided walk, I saw the natural world in a whole new way.
I wanted to share this experience with others, and encourage others to connect with the wonders of the world around us.
I also have a Masters Degree in Social Work from the Ohio State University and have worked with dialysis patients for over 25 years.
My passion for helping people continues in a new, natural setting.
See you on the trail!
